After each re-profiling of the wheel-set, the nozzles should be adjusted so that the spray is directed to the correct area of the wheel flange.

Maintenance is limited to the following operations:

• draining the water separator and cleaning the filter. Both are located at the front of the electro-pneumatic valve.
• cleaning the inside of the upper part of the distributor at approximately 50,000km intervals.
• exterior cleaning of the nozzles.
• inspection of system pipework at each major servicing interval.
• regular checking of the lubricant to ensure that the tank never becomes completely empty.
